Antibody and antigens are detected using the Enzyme-Linked
Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA), Indirect Fluorescent Antibody (IFA), Western
Blot and Antigen Capture Assay, with ELISA being our primary methodology.
We also offer the only CDC-approved methodologies for Filovirus detection:
ELISA for antibody and capture assays for antigen. Assays are validated
with respect to sensitivity, specificity and reproducibility and efforts
are continually ongoing to develop new assays. Testing is routinely initiated
within 24 hours of sample receipt and results are reported by e-mail or
